THE League of Friends of Wellington Hospital has bid a fond farewell to Kim Cooper, who has retired after 13 years as Senior Sister at the hospital.
League chairman Annette Cardwell presented her with a card and a bouquet.
League secretary Cheryl Bailey said: “On behalf of the League of Friends I would like to thank you for all the hard work you have done in the past to make the hospital such a well valued and well respected facility for the people of Wellington and district.
“We know from conversations with former patients how much they have appreciated the care and kindness they have received from the staff under your management. You have certainly been an inspiration to them and will definitely be missed by staff and patients – and not forgetting the League of Friends.”
Kim said she had spent 13 wonderful years at Wellington Hospital, enjoying every moment. She added that she would like to thank the League of Friends for the support it has given to the hospital and for the continuous hard work of the trustees in ensuring that the hospital is much needed in Wellington.
The League understands Kim’s post has been filled.
