THOUSANDS of people thronged Wellington’s main roads and celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli made lots of friends at the town’s tenth annual food festival on Saturday.

Richard Coupe, who was in charge of PR and marketing for the event, said: “I think it’s the busiest I have ever seen the town centre. There were thousands of people during the day. The town was absolutely packed, particularly in the morning, High Street and South Street.”
