THE Halloween Trail at Nynehead Court proved to be a popular attraction once again in 2025, with families and visitors navigating the route and participating in craft sessions.
Running from Monday, October 27 to Friday October 31, between 11am and 4pm, the trail winded through 13 acres of the care home’s gardens and parkland, where pumpkins, cobwebs, and spooky surprises hidden among the flowerbeds, trees and pathways.
There were themed decorations and interactive clues throughout the trail, which brought delight to children of all ages while guests were given a chance to explore the grounds and take in the atmosphere, offering a creative alternative to traditional trick-or-treating.
Children were encouraged to come in costume, with witches, wizards, skeletons and superheroes all welcome.
In addition to the trail, there were also free drop-in craft sessions which were held at The Orangery on Wednesday, October 29 and Thursday, October 30, from 2pm to 4pm.
Children were guided by Nynehead Court’s team to create their own spooky decorations to take home, including painted pumpkins, ghostly masks and more.
The Orangery would also remain open on each day of the trail, offering drinks and biscuits to those participating on the trail.
While the trail were crafts are free to enjoy, donations to Nynehead Court’s residents ’activities fund were very welcome, with contributions helping the care home to support a calendar of events throughout the year.
A spokesperson for Nynehead Court said: “For our residents, the Halloween Trail brings joy, laughter, and a chance to connect with the wider community. Whether watching from a sunny bench or chatting with visiting families, they play an important part in the event’s atmosphere.
“It’s a day that brings together generations, turning simple seasonal fun into meaningful shared moments.”
