SEVEN members of Wellington Petanque Club have been playing in a non-club fun competition over three Tuesdays in keeping with social distancing.

It was the idea of new member Michael Wheatley who went on to win the competition – and the trophy, which he designed himself!

“It was laugh in these difficult times,” said one member.

Those who took part were Michael Wheatley, Marion Jones, Dave Scotcher, Barry Ede, Lesley Fry, Caroline Vaughan and Mike Crew.
