A TREE for all seasons has been ‘planted’ in a garden centre near Wellington.

It was inspired and created by young people and adults with learning difficulties who attend Meadowbank Day Service.

They worked with local sculptor and environmentalist Stefan Jennings to make a sculpture they named ‘The Willow Tree’.

Now, the tree sculpture has been permanently based in the Willowbrook Garden Centre, on the A38 between Wellington and West Buckland.

The tree will be appropriately decorated throughout the year according to each of the four seasons.

Petrina Middleton, from the day service, said: “The tree will also be available for members of the public to add their own messages and thoughts to adorn the tree, using the wooden decorations we have made for this purpose.”
