THE Wellington-based SeeAbility charity has presented its Fiennes House service Volunteer of the Year award to Chris Cardwell.
He has been responsible for looking after the garden at the residential home for four years, helping it become a wonderful place for eight adults with multiple disabilities.
Chris spent 2014 as president of the local Rotary Club and raised funds for Fiennes House, enabling the purchase of specialist items for the sensory room.
Fiennes House volunteer co-ordinator Andrea Lane said: “Our volunteers are amazing and we cannot thank them enough for giving their time and for the wonderful friendships they build.
