THE annual Wellington Spring Flower Show at Wellington Prep School Hall was another colourful success.

The show had been in doubt five days earlier because of the snow and wintery conditions but the weather improved and the event went ahead.

Although the daffodils had taken a bit of a battering during the snow they had perked up again for judging.

Exhibitors scoured their gardens and greenhouses for exhibits and the hall looked a picture with as many exhibits as usual for the annual event.

The weather reduced the number of visitors but organisers thank those who did brave the chill and damp atmosphere to support the show.

Colin Trewren, who judged the show, commented on the high quality of the exhibits.

Organisers would like to thank him and Wellington Prep School for their support and providing an excellent venue.

Now organisers are looking forward to welcoming exhibitors and visitors to the Summer Show on Saturday, August 25.
