New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight of Somerset’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to four restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: The Engine Room Cafe at Somerset Film And Video Limited, 52 High Street, Bridgwater; rated on November 10

• Rated 5: Nandos at Unit 4 Northgate Yard, Mount Street, Bridgwater; rated on November 3

• Rated 5: Fortes Ice Cream Parlour at 2-3 Pier Street, Burnham-On-Sea; rated on October 28

• Rated 5: Ninja Noodles at 25 High Street, Burnham-On-Sea; rated on October 24

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And three ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: Red Tile Inn at The Red Tile, Middle Road, Cossington; rated on November 7

• Rated 5: The Albion Inn at 14 Bath Road, Ashcott; rated on November 7

• Rated 5: Allstars Sports Bowl Bridgwater at Allstars Sports Bowl Northgate Yard, Mount Street, Bridgwater; rated on November 3
