THIS year has seen notable success for the club – the team, which plays in the East Devon League, came first in their division, resulting in a shield for the trophy cabinet.

We wish them well as this year’s matches get under way, travelling to clubs around the area and making new friends under the guidance of league captain Barbara Heaton.

October 4 was a significant date to remember within the club this year. Members celebrated in traditional style, the tenth anniversary of the club’s existence in Hemyock.

The picture shows several of the founder members, as a toast was drunk and cake distributed to everyone present. A lunch was held at Oake Manor the following day. We look forward to the next ‘ten years’ and beyond.
