CASES of Covid-19 in Wellington are heading in the wrong direction.
Martin Ellacott, practice manager at the Luson Surgery in Fore Street, Wellington, said yesterday: “Yes, there has been a slight increase locally in the past week or so.
“The public need to be aware of the risks and follow the Government guidance to think ‘Hands, Face, Space’.
“If people believe they have symptoms, they should self-isolate to protect others and contact NHS111, either by phone or on its website to arrange a test.
“More information can be found on the NHS111 website. The test and trace app can also be downloaded for those who have the technology – and if you do so it is important to self-isolate if you receive a notification.
“We will only get through this if people avoid passing the virus by following the guidance.”
