Wellington School is following Public Health England’s guidelines on coronavirus (COVID-19) with one student self-isolating away from the school but showing no symptoms.

A member of staff is now back at school after self-isolating and receiving a negative test.

The school’s policy for students travelling over Easter and at other times follows Public Health England and Boarding Schools Association guidelines. A comprehensive flow chart has been created detailing precise guidance for students and staff.

Headmaster Eugene du Toit said: “I am grateful for the support from parents, pupils and staff with this ever-changing situation. It is our intention to keep the community fully informed and ensure that all in our community are safe.

“Daily updates are sent to parents and information is continually updated on the website. We remain committed to ensuring that every measure is taken to protect the welfare of the Wellington community.”
