SOME 200 visitors heard about the Wellington Monument renovation project when the National Trust held two Heritage Open Days at the landmark.

They also heard wildlife talks led by the National Trust rangers, and building surveyors and members of the project team provided information.

The highlight of the day was Battle of Waterloo re-enactment couple Sue and Vince Low.
