YOUNG Holly Batchelor has had her long locks cut for the Little Princess Trust at Hair By Davinia in Rockwell Green.
Holly, ten, who lives at Gay Close, Wellington, and attends Churchstanton Primary School, had been growing her hair for several years but decided to have it cut short this summer for the charity.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs for children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment and other reasons. Mum Becky Rhode says the wigs cost about £500 to make but the charity provides them free of charge to youngsters.
Holly has also been doing extra fundraising – and the hair salon has given the value of the hair cut – so she has raised just over £100 to give as well as her hair.
