WIVELISCOMBE Horticultural Society is hosting a coffee morning in the Jubilee Gardens, West Street, on Saturday (June 23) at 10am.

As well as being able to enjoy a coffee, cakes, plants and produce will be for sale, and a raffle will be held. The event will also offer a chance to catch up with friends – and perhaps make new ones.

The 104th Wiveliscombe Horticultural Society Flower Show is on Saturday, August 18. It will have the familiar fruit, flowers and vegetable classes, and children’s, handicraft and cookery classes with a few changes across all sections, making for a traditional day out for all the family.

The society also has a new section this year, a family class open to all generations, allowing all the family to work together on their exhibit. Schedules are available in several locations in and around Wiveliscombe.

Due to increasing age and declining numbers, the society is seeking new members. Anyone interested should contact any committee member or go along and meet members at the coffee morning.

Alternatively, the next committee meeting is at the Community Centre at 7.30pm on July 11.
