YOUNGSTERS in the Early Years Foundation Stage unit at Beech Grove Primary School in Wellington have enjoyed their first school trip to Somerset Museum as part of their spring topic Long, Long Ago.
The children explored the museum looking at artefacts, asking questions and learning about different ways of life from long ago.
A ‘Dino Dig’ workshop was arranged for both classes to explore real life fossils, paint an ammonite and go on a treasure hunt around the museum.
A school spokesperson said: “Members of the public and museum staff commented on how the children were very well behaved and showed so much excitement to learn.
“Thank you to the parents who came along to help and those who offered help, it is very much appreciated.”
