A NEW early years outdoor area has been officially opened in Langford Budville Church of England Primary School ahead of an open evening being held this week.

Joining the school for the celebration of what was described as a ‘significant move forward’ in developing its future was Langford Budville Toddler Group, led by Rachael Pavey.

Headteacher Jonathan Moise-Souch has established strong links with the toddler group and the school now regularly hosts the group.

The outdoor area’s opening was toasted by those attending with apple juice which the children had made during their recent apple day.

The toddlers were then able to enjoy the new facilities, including the water wall, ground level sandpit, and a mud kitchen.

Parish council chairman Cllr Derek Snowden cut a ribbon to officially declare the redeveloped unit open.

Cllr Snowden said: “Mr Moise-Souch has made many positive changes since starting in September and his drive to develop the school’s early provision is truly magnificent and this provision is an exciting one for the school and the village alike.”

Mr Moise-Souch said: “It is an exciting time here at Langford Budville, where we are welcoming new starters for September in our early years.

“I am looking forward to our open evening on Wednesday, December 13, at 6 pm, where we can share our wonderful school to more visitors.”
