FIRE crews from Wellington and two other stations were called to a late night blaze which broke out on a farm factory site on the Blackdown Hills.
A small loader vehicle had caught alight in a workshop at the premises shortly before 10 pm.
The incident happened near Gladhayes Bridge Cross, between Clayhidon and Hemyock.
Pumps from the Taunton and Honiton fire stations were also mobilised to attend, the latter deploying an aerial ladder to help fight the blaze.
A Wellington Fire Brigade spokesman said: “Thanks to the owner’s quick thinking and ingenuity the vehicle was towed from the building.
“The crew used compressed air foam to smother the flames and later cooled the chassis once the fire was extinguished.”
The loader vehicle was completely destroyed but workshop escaped damage in the fire, which happened on Thursday, March 2.
