FORTY-FIVE new jobs will be created when Somerset’s first trampoline park opens at Chelston this summer.
Work is already under way on the new £1.2 million Flip Out at Chelston Business Park, near Wellington.
It is the latest boost to the area which has already seen hundreds of new jobs created.
The new Wellesley Hospital opened in the New Year which will eventually employ more than 200 people while Taunton Deane’s Direct Labour Operation has moved to Westpark 26, relocating 180 jobs from its Taunton depot.
With the new JD Wetherspoon pub opening in Wellington with 50 employees, the Wellington area is becoming a fast-growing locations because of its proximity to the M5.
The 40,000 sq ft Flip Out arena will feature a fun-packed trampoline zone with 75 inter-linked trampolines, two Olympic-sized trampolines and a 20-metre tumble track. It will also have a ‘ninja warrior’ course, battle beams, foam pits, slam dunk, a dodgeball court and a dedicated free-running area.
Younger visitors will have a separate trampolining and free-running area created for under-fives. The new Flip Out will also have two party rooms and its own cafe.
Jeremy Appiah, general manager at Flip Out Somerset, said: “Trampolining is great fun and it’s also a fantastic way to keep fit. We are thrilled to be the first to introduce the trampolining concept to Somerset.
“As well as trampolining, the new Flip Out will have lots of other exciting features. I’m sure it will be a big hit with the people of Somerset.”
The new Flip Out will be open every day from 9am-9pm Sunday to Thursday and 9am-10pm on Friday and Saturday.
