LOWER Juniors at Beech Grove Primary School in Wellington have enjoyed a workshop on cultural diversity.

Gloria told them about her family history and how her father had travelled from Jamaica to the UK in the 1960s.

The children enjoyed hearing the story, about the history of the Caribbean and the songs they sang.

One pupil said: “I enjoyed the workshop because I heard lots of information about different people’s lives.”

Another added: “I really enjoyed learning about different countries and the history.”
