THE group is hosting the last in its current series of talks in the library on Thursday (June 15).

The talk is very appropriate for a library in that it will cover the literature which has been written about the town. The speaker is Colin Spackman, curator of Wellington Museum.

A group spokesman said: “Many of us may have one or two books about the town in our own collections but it is quite surprising the number of books that have been written, either as an individual story or looking at the history of just one part of our town’s heritage.

“The range could well be a surprise to many of us”

As well as looking at some of the books held by the museum, the meeting will also highlight the local books available to loan via the library service.

The meeting will start at 2.30pm and admission is £3 (WLFG members £2).
