WELLINGTON School old boy, actor David Suchet, and charity worker, Wiveliscome resident Pauline Homeshaw are among those listed in the New Year honours, announced today.

Mr Suchet, 64, who returned to Wellington School to officially open its newly refurbished theatre last January, has been made a CBE to add to his OBE, while Mrs Homeshaw is awarded an MBE for services to the community of Wiveliscombe.

Ms Elizabeth Susan Lisgo, well known to many in the area for her work as chief executive of Age Concern in Somerset, also becomes an MBE.
