TWO Wellington sisters who ran the London Marathon in April have handed over more than £8,000 to St Margaret’s Hospice, the charity which looked after their mother.

Town council video records 2025 highlights from 'special year' for WellingtonThe Marathon Sisters, Paula Wadham and Alison Longley, ran the event in memory of their mum, Janet Heal, who lived in St John’s Close in the town, and died in June last year at the age of 66 after a short battle with cancer.
Alison said her mother’s care cost £500 a day and a total of £7,000 over her two-week stay at the hospice. She added: “We did it for you, Mum.”
