A LORRY was in collision with a number of cars and a motorcycle on the southbound M5 between Junctions 24-25 at about 8 a.m. this morning (Monday).

The cars have been moved to the hard shoulder and the motorcyclist was receiving attention at the scene for what is believed to be a spinal injury.

The southbound motorway has been closed and is likely to remain closed for some time.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
