ANGELA Boyd, of Rackfield, Westleigh, near Wellington, sent us this photo of this unfortunate incident involving a large car transporter stuck on a corner in a narrow lane near Thorne St Margaret on Thursday of last week.

She said: “I came across this lorry this morning... stuck fast in the narrow, single track lane, on a steep right angled bend beside an ancient oak tree... goodness knows how it will be released and, of course, it blocks access along the lane.”

The lorry’s owners Plank Transport, of Stirling, Scotland, described the incident as a ‘satnav error’, before adding that the huge vehicle was eventually extricated from its tight spot.
