Laura started a huge public campaign to find Maisie after she was spooked by another dog fighting during her walk and ran away earlier this week.

A Facebook page with over 600 followers was set up and multiple dog charities were involved in her search, offering professional advice and creating a radius of how far she had likely gone.

A relieved Laura said: “What a week! Trudging over hills, through bracken and brambles, up rivers and so many miles walked.”

Lost Dog Recovery UK South and Drone SAR were two of the charities that helped Laura find Maisie.

“I want to say a massive thank you to these charities and the local community. They do amazing work and the volunteers never stopped searching.”Said Laura.

Maisie is now recovering at home after being checked out by the vets.

Laura said: “She is very thin and tired but has no injuries or seemingly mental scars. We will all be resting for a day or two.

“Thank you to everyone for all your overwhelming support and those who helped search and put posters up. It has meant a lot to see so many kind people in the world.” Laura said
