The show had ten categories and rosettes were presented for first to fourth place in each class with Best in Show won by Rocket, a cheeky little French Bulldog.
Oaktree’s activities co-ordinator Sharon Wescott said: “Being my first time hosting the dog show, I could see and feel how unconditional the love is between owner and dog. Friendship, loyalty, respect, devotion and comfort all being the perfect mix for promoting well-being for our residents.
“A special thanks goes to all visitors, residents and staff who joined us, and made this a joyous and entertaining event. We were blessed with the weather and the lovely grounds.
“My thanks also go to Heather McKenzie for her professional judging, Christine and Mr Billinger for the agility equipment and setting it up, Golden Hill Pet Supplies for its donation for the raffle, Tim Potter for his donation of marrow bones – for the dogs, not residents, to chew on, Willowbrook Garden Centre for the loan of bales for additional seating and Pampered Pooches.”
