MAYOR of Wellington Cllr Gary James attended a talk given by Nigel Smith on Who Reads Homer Today at the town library.

Nigel gave a lecture to an audience of about 20 on the epic poem the Iliad, one of the earliest and greatest works of western literature.

Mr James said: “It is wonderful that our library can be used for such events and goes to show it has the town’s support.

“Nigel should be congratulated on his presentation and getting the audience very much involved.”
