PUPILS from St John’s Primary School in Wellington travelled to Wells to take part in the Somerset Schools Folk Dancing Festival.

Mayor of Wellington Cllr Bob Bowrah accompanied them as they paraded through the city, before joining all the other schools on the Cathedral Green.

They were able to perform many of their dances – with the Mayor even joining in one of them – before the rain came and the dancing had to finish early.
