HUNDREDS of pounds was raised when Chelston Gardens Dementia Nursing Home in West Buckland Road, Wellington, held a Memory Walk.
Walkers completed 650 laps around the home’s internal garden, raising £375 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
A spokesman for the home said: “We want to thank relatives, friends, staff and their children for accompanying the residents on the walk. A special mention should be made of Zac, Scarlet, Shannon, Caitlin and Ethan – they raised a huge amount and everyone enjoyed their company on the walk.”
Hundreds of thousands of people have taken part in Alzheimer’s Society memory walks – walkers are sponsored walk and the money raised goes towards research into dementia.
