Acclaimed bassist Miranda Sykes (pictured) is performing on Saturday (June 23) in a Midsummer Music event at Nynehead Church.

Local musician Gibby Swaine will also give a performance and the evening also includes a light supper.

Tickets cost £15 and are available from Nynehead Court care home, with profits going to Nynehead Church and ACEArts.

The bar will be run by members of Nynehead Village and opens at 5.30pm, with the first performance at 6.30pm.
