THE September winner of Pet of the Month, run by Co-op Funeralcare and the WWN, is Mikey, a

14-week-old miniature long-haired dachshund.

Mikey was nominated by Diane Rowland, of Blackmoor Road, Wellington. Diane, who recently lost her husband Michael after 54 years of marriage, said: “Mikey has given me great comfort and companionship.”

Mikey won a goody bag including a strong limited edition ‘Proud to be Wellington Pet of the Month’ cotton eco-shopping bag, certificate and rosette.
