A MISSING yellow-headed Amazon parrot has been reunited with its owner after 11 days.

Diego, who escaped his aviary in the Sylvan Road area on Tuesday, June 17, was found in a garden seven miles away.

Owner, Katy Westlake says she is “delighted” by her pet’s return.

She said: “The dog has barely left his side since he came home!

“He was a bit bedraggled and weak when he was found, but he has perked up a lot in just a couple of days and seems more or less back to his old cheeky self - turning the Alexa on and off all day and calling the dog over!

“I’m so delighted that he’s home, especially after the heat that he has endured over the last two weeks.”
