TWO people in Wellington each have an extra £1,000 in their bank accounts after their postcode was drawn as winner of the People’s Postcode Lottery’s Daily Prize.
The Clifford Mews residents, who play with postcode TA21 8QJ, scooped the prize earlier this month.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: “Well done to our players in Wellington. It’s lovely to see neighbours win together and I hope they have a great time spending the cash.”
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised £301 million to date for 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
Players have helped to support local charity the Somerset Rural Youth Project, which received £15,000 last year to regenerate a redundant piece of land on the edge of Wellington into a community green space.
