TWO new gymnastics classes are set to be offered in Wellington after a successful trial year at Court Fields School.
Excelsior Athletic Development Club is offering the new classes from September every week.
Fundamental Gymnastics for primary School boys and girls will include exploration and traditional gymnastic activities such as vaulting, trampette, climbing and floor work. The secondary school class will include a new FreeG class developed by British Gymnastics (BG) for teenagers new to the sport. FreeG is non-competitive and so allows ordinary people the chance to enjoy gymnastics.
Head coach James Marshall said: “The Year 7 pupils have really enjoyed their gymnastics, which we have been able to run for the whole year thanks to Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership.
