The old Bishop Brothers lamppost that was looking for a new home has now found one.

But one of the last offers came from the manager at Bishop’s Court, the retirement apartments off North Street.
As Bishop’s Court is named for the Bishop Brothers foundry that occupied that site until about 35 years ago, it seemed a good idea for the lamppost to go there.
