TAUNTON Deane Borough Council has received a planning application for new homes on land at Creedwell Orchard in Milverton.

The full planning application is for 72 properties, accessed from Creedwell Orchard. The application follows the refusal of planning permission last year for the construction of 70 homes on the land. The new application proposes that 25% of the homes are affordable housing. The applicants, S Notaro, have submitted a range of supporting documents which are being assessed by the borough council’s planning department and statutory consultees such as highways and the Environment Agency. The council’s website will be kept up to date advising of the latest situation on the application.

The application – reference number 23/16/0009 – is available for inspection at Taunton Deane Borough Council’s offices in Belvedere Road, Taunton, and online at www.tauntondeane.gov.uk.

The public has until May 19 to comment on the application, slightly longer than the statutory consultation period.
