POLICE have scaled down the search for 78-year-old Wellington pensioner Paul Hyam who has now been missing for five weeks.

Scores of police were originally involved in the search for Mr Hyam, who was last seen close to his home in Pyles Thorne Close, Wellington.

Mr Hyam is described as white, with grey hair, about 5ft 10in tall and of average build.

He was last seen wearing light chinos, a long-sleeved blue shirt with tie and a blue body warmer.
