WELLINGTON Town Council has agreed to make a grant of £500 to Wellington Operatic Society Touring Group.

The council was told at its monthly meeting on Monday that the money is a contribution towards the reciprocal hosting of a visiting choir from Torres Vedras.

The cash would be used towards the cost

of providing transport and meals for the choir.

At the beginning of the financial year the council made £15,000 available in its grants budget. Following grants already awarded this year £8,250 is left.
