WELLINGTON Pantomime Group is once again preparing for another panto at the Wellesley Theatre following the success of Cinderella earlier this year.

More than 2,200 people attended during a cold week in January to take part in a magical story and help Cinderella on her way to the Ball. This year another hero needs the help of Wellington to come and support him.

January 2020 will see Dick Whittington on the Wellesley stage. But, the mystery surrounding who will be cast is yet to be answered.

The pantomime group is holding two workshops on June 18 and 21 before auditions. At each workshop participants will be introduced to the team and have a chance to learn a song and dance. The workshops are at Wellington Arts Centre between 7-10pm – attendance can be at one or the other.

The panto group accepts individuals from the age of seven up but anyone under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult for the evening.

Auditions are on Sunday, June 23, between 10am and 5pm – further details will be given out at the workshops.

Character lists and other useful information can be found on the Wellington Pantomime Group Facebook page.

For anyone interested in seeing the show, more information and details regarding tickets will be released shortly.
