NEIGHBOURHOOD beat manager PC Johnny Haynes is appealing for information after signs were taken in Clayhidon.
A large wooden advertising sign and post for the Half Moon Inn was stolen on about Wednesday, April 13. The substantial wooden post was hidden behind a nearby hedgerow but the sign had been taken. Around the same time two other signs from the village were also removed.
Lynda Higgins, from The Half Moon Inn, said: “Removal of our sign is damaging to my pub and to the village as a whole. The pub trade is difficult anyway without additional costs of having to replace expensive signage.”
Police are appealing for witnesses or any information that would lead to the identification of the offenders or the recovery of the signs.
Anyone with information should contact Cullompton Police on 101 and quote CR/24082/16, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
