COURT Fields School Year 8 student and Taunton Deane Swim Club swimmer Max Sawyer has been learning from the best.

He was chosen to attend the Ben Proud Talent Pool at Surrey Sports Park, Guildford, where he met Team GB swimmer Ben Proud and fellow Olympic, Commonwealth and International swimmers, and the Adidas training team.

Max, who has aspirations to be an Olympic swimmer himself, was one of 30 youths from Somerset to learn about race preparation, goals, visualisation, management and the drills and practical skills.

Ben Proud is the 2017 world champion in the 50-metre butterfly and British record holder for 50-metre freestyle, and Adidas ambassador.
