PUPILS at Beech Grove Primary School in Wellington who raised thousands of pounds in a Race for Life event saw the money handed over to Cancer Research UK yesterday (Tuesday).
The school has just over 300 children and they all completed at least two laps of Wellington Park, raising £4,166.56 through sponsorship.
Karina Morgan, national events organiser South-West for Race for Life, gave a presentation to the children explaining where the money they raised would be going when she visited to receive the cheque.
