CHILDREN from St John’s Primary School, Wellington, went ’spotacular’ for BBC Children in Need.

The ’Big Spotacular’ encouraged children and teachers to dress up in spots, sell spotty cakes and goods, and take part in spotty-themed challenges to raise money for disadvantaged children and young people. A variety of ’spotty’ clothing ranged from hair ribbons and ties to pyjamas, and members of the school council raffled a large, stuffed Pudsey Bear.

There was an opportunity to win a ’spotty’ cake by guessing the number of spots it contained. The total amount raised was a ’spotacular’ £356.76.
