Questions around Wellington's new banking hub service have been answered by the firm in charge of the project, Cash Access UK.
The hub service is set to replace Loyds bank when it closes on March 29, next year. It will be a shared banking space with a counter operated by the Post Office, which will serve customers from all the major banks.
Cash Access UK have now distributed leaflets in the town shedding further light on what the new service will look like.
They confirmed the hub will be open from 9 am to 5pm, Mondays to Fridays, and closed over the weekend.
Although the facility will be operated by the Post Office, it will not provide Post Office services such as sending parcels or buying stamps.
It has been confirmed the hub will accommodate business customers, who will be able to use counter services such as cash and cheque deposits.
Cash Access said it takes on average 12 months for a hub to open - to date seven have set up nationally. The firm set out 7 steps toward opening, beginning with finding a suitable premises.
It remains unknown at this stage if the hub has yet decided on a property to set up shop in.
