VITAL resurfacing work on the A38, from West Park roundabout to Chelston roundabout, has been delayed due to adverse weather.

The work is being done to improve the condition of the roads and lessen the risk of safety defects developing, such as potholes.

Work was due to start on Monday, January 5, at 6.30 pm on the A38 West Park roundabout to Chelston roundabout but Somerset Council announced today (January 7), that the work will be delayed until Friday January 9, or Monday January 12.

The evening closures on the A38, West Park roundabout to Chelston roundabout that were due to commence at 6.30 pm to 11.30 pm will not start tonight (January 7).

Signage on the road will be updated.
