Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that both of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm October 27 2022 to 5am December 30 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm December 11 to 6am December 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 exit slip road closure for resurfacing, diversion via M5 northbound to junction 25 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
