THE owner of a beauty salon in Rockwell Green will be taking the plunge for charity when she does a 15,000ft tandem skydive later this month.
Diane said: “This charity means a lot to me as my grandfather spent some time in Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, a few years ago after having a heart attack. Without HeartSWell’s help he may not have pulled through as well as he did or even at all.
“The charity has also built HeartSWell Lodge just off site from the hospital which provides high quality accommodation for the families and carers of patients at Derriford Hospital. This was a place where my grandmother could stay to get a little peace and a break away from the hospital but still close enough if she was needed quickly.”
