WELLINGTON'S fine 25pts-18 home win over Crediton in the Cornwall and Devon League over the weekend was marred by two serious injuries to players - one from each side - towards the end.

Wellington centre Alex Leach was taken to hospital with torn knee ligaments ten minutes from the end.

And not long after one of Crediton's players, flanker Ryan Doyle, was also taken to hospital with a badly dislocated knee.
