A FORMER Court Fields Community School student has been handed a coveted Green Beret having successfully completing 32 weeks of the hardest initial military training in the world.

Sam Smith, 23, pictured, has now become a British Royal Marines Commando after passing out at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines at Lympstone, Devon, with 145 Troop.
