ANYONE who has seen the Skintight Samba Band pounding out infectious South American rhythms and fancies having a go themselves is being invited to a free taster session.

Skintight are based in Wellington and are the longest-established samba band in the area. They regularly perform their own take on Brazilian music at festivals and carnivals.

The free taster session is on Tuesday, October 20, from 7-9pm at the Baptist Church Hall, South Street, Wellington. Anyone who fancies being part of earthy and fun music played on surdos, agogos, caixas, repiniques and chocalhos – bass drums, cowbells, snares, tom-toms and shakers – should contact Lisa by text/phone or email: 07799 578320; [email protected] to say you would like to go along.
